Quando todos esperavam rever a excelente atuação da
japonesa Mima Ito (07ª colocada no ranking mundial) quando faturou o título há uma semana atrás na Suécia, no Aberto da Áustria de
Tênis de Mesa, que aconteceu em Linz, quem brilhou na final feminina no
domingo, 11 de novembro, foi novamente a chinesa Chen Meng (04ª WR) onde bateu
sua compatriota Wang Manyu (05ª WR) por 4 sets a 0, com parciais de (11-8,
11-9, 11-4 e 11-7).
Na final, Chen Meng entrou bem concentrada na parte tática
do jogo e foi logo levando vantagem com seu poderoso golpe de ataque de
forehand sobre Wang Manyu. Ambas as jogadoras proporcionaram incríveis disputas
de bolas com muita velocidades próximas a mesa, levando o público presente ao
delírio. Melhor para Chen Meng que faturou o título e a sua terceira vitória
numa final contra Wang Manyu, no ano passado ela prevaleceu no Catar e na
Austrália.
